Vine star Hayes Grier has been hospitalized following an accident, his brother Nash Grier tweeted on Thursday, July 28.
“Just got a call on set that Hayes was in a crash. He’s now in the hospital,” the 18-year-old tweeted, asking fans to “#PrayForHayes” in his tweet.
Just moments later, Nash followed up with a tweet that read, “Damn I hate hearing s–t like that on the phone scared me to death.”
After about an hour, Nash then shared a screenshot of a text exchange — captioned “Phew” — that updated him on his brother’s condition. “Your brother is pretty busted up right now. Luckily no major stuff,” the text read. “All scans came back negative for any internal bleeding. He does have a concussion, fractured top two ribs and bruised lung on one side. He is in a lot of pain.”
No specific details about the accident have been shared or released.

UPDATE: Hayes Grier’s rep has released the following update regarding the 16-year-old’s condition after an accident earlier this afternoon:
“Earlier today, Hayes Grier was involved in a dirt bike accident and immediately transported to a local hospital. Hayes suffered a concussion, broken rib, bruised lung, and multiple skin lacerations. Thankfully, he is OK and currently resting and recovering in the hospital surrounded by his family, where he will remain for the next few days. We can’t thank you all enough for the outpouring of prayers and support for Hayes.”
