Singer/songwriter Hudson Thames has just released the lyrics video for his original track “Drive It Like You Stole It” and we’re utterly obsessed!

The California native wrote this original track which will be featured in the forthcoming musical/film Sing Street. Sing Street revolves around a 14-year-old named Conor (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) who’s struggling with his parents’ financial demise as well as adjusting to new surroundings. He befriends one of his new uber-cool classmates named Raphina (Lucy Boynton) and soon finds himself infatuated with her. In hopes of winning her over, he invites her to become the center of his band’s new music video. But unfortunately, he’s not in a band…yet. After Raphina agrees, Conor must hold up his end of the deal before she figures things out. He throws together a band and what started out as the only way to get the girl, soon becomes an obsession. Inspired by writer/director John Carney‘s life, Sing Street will show you the power of music and the way it can transform us into something greater.

The soundtrack for Sing Street mirrors the hustle and bustle of Dublin in the 1980s. It’s compiled with many iconic bands such as Duran Duran, Hall and Oates, The Cure, and many more! In addition, Maroon 5‘s frontman Adam Levine lends his voice to heartfelt track “Go Now”. Check out the full track list below!

Hudson Thames will be performing the original track “Drive Like You Stole It” on The Today Show next Friday (April 22nd) which is the same day the film will hit theaters nationwide!
