ICYMI: Laura Marano Drops Music Video for Debut Single ‘Boombox’ – Featuring Ken Jeong

Hot on the heels of wrapping Disney Channel’s wildly-admired comedy series Austin & Ally, Laura Marano continues to crank up the volume with “Boombox.”

Shot in LA, the new music video features Marano’s fresh moves under the direction of actor Ken Jeong (The Hangover, ABC’s Dr. Ken) who stars in the video as himself.

Marano’s vivacious spirit is showcased as she belts out lyrics about finding a person whose unique energy encourages you to live in the moment, all while giving fans an irresistible and danceable beat.
The infectious track was penned by Jason Dean, Rami Jrade, Joe Kirkland, Asia Whiteacre and the song’s producer TJ Routon.

Marano brings to life catchy metaphors like: “‘Cause when I look back on it / Life like the sonnet / A quiet kind of solitude / Tell me how’d you do it / You added the music / I never heard a song like you/ ‘Cause you’re my boombox baby / You can sing anything / Blow my speakers out with you.”
