Dani (Jada Facer) is getting in a real sticky situation on this week’s Melissa & Joey, and CS4U has the scoop straight from Jada herself!
Dani Mancini is the spunky, feisty and rebellious surprise daughter to Joe (Joey Lawrence) and his ex Felicia (Brooke Burke Charvet). After discovering who her father is, Dani moves in with Joe, his new wife, Mel (Melissa Joan Hart), and their niece, Lennox (Taylor Spreitler), to get to know her dad better.
In Wednesday’s two-part episode titled “Parental Guidance” and “Gone Girl,” Joe has a hard decision to make when he finds out Dani (Jada Facer) has been breaking the rule. Joe is shocked to learn that Dani snuck friends in to the house, drank wine and then lied about it. He’s forced to call Felicia (guest star Brooke Burke-Charvet), who insists Dani return home to her immediately.
CS4U caught up with Jada recently to get the deets on what’s coming up on upcoming episode of Melissa & Joey. In our interview, Jada talks about her character Dani Mancini, what its like working with Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence, her passion for singing and writing songs, and some secrets and hidden talents you may not know about her! CS4U: Can you tell us about your role on Melissa & Joey?
Jada Facer: “I play Dani, Joe’s surprise daughter! I really love playing Dani because of all the differences between us. She is very daring and brave. And also a bit of a rebel. But she’s spunky and feisty and I’m a little spunky and feisty too!”
CS4U: What is it like working with Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence? Do you have any favorite memories from working with them?
Jada Facer: “I have always been huge fan of Joey and Melissa, so I was beyond excited to work with them! I remember my first table read, Melissa came up to me and told me “Don’t worry, this will be the best experience of you’re life.” And it truly was!”
CS4U: What can you tell us about what’s to come on Melissa & Joey?
Jada Facer: “I’m really excited for these next episodes. One of the reasons is that you get to see Joe and Dani bonding and having these nice father, daughter moments. It’s going to be awesome!”
CS4U: What advice do you have for kids your age who want to get into acting?
Jada Facer: “I would say, never give up. This business is really tough. So don’t ever get down if you don’t get a role. Trust me, there is one out there for you.”
CS4U: We heard you also like to write music and sings — do you plan to pursue a music career? What kind of music do you make?
Jada Facer: “I would say I’m Alternative-Pop. I am writing songs right now and I’m hoping to release one sometime in the future.”
CS4U: Do you have any other upcoming projects that you can tell us about?
Jada Facer: “This pilot season has been crazy busy. I am auditioning for new shows and movies, so I’m hoping something will come with one of those.”
CS4U: Since our website is called CelebSecrets4U, do you have any secrets or hidden talents that you are able to share with our readers?
Jada Facer: “For a secret, I had an imaginary friend named K.D. until I was seven. And for a hidden talent, I can spell “Wow” with my tongue. Not quite sure that’s a real talent though?!”
