Jessie & The Toy Boys Selected For iHeart Radio’s Rising Star Competition

Jessie and the Toy Boys, the provactive, talented and punk-rock-meets electronic-glitter singer, has been selected as one of the 25 emerging artists competeing for the coveted “iHeartRadio Rising Star.”  The contest, presented by Clear Channel and Macy’s, which offers the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform at the 2012 star-studded iHeartRadio Music Festival is in its first round of voting at iheartradio.com/macys, and fans can vote for Jessie and the Toy Boys at http://macys.iheart.com/macys/entries/profile/29.html.  For an added bonus for fans, with each vote, fans will be entered to win a VIP Festival trip for two.

The Macy’s iHeartRadio Rising Star campaign is a nationwide search for new music in which Clear Channel industry experts join with Macy’s to select 25 emerging artists to present to fans across America.  Jessie and the Toy Boys was among the 25 selected artists for this opportunity who are now included in the first round of voting that runs through May 4.  The selected artists are also promoted on more than 270 Clear Channel radio stations and websites in more than 140 cities across the country, online at iHeartRadio.com and via Clear Channel’s social media sites.  The artists will also be featured on “Rising Star,” a digital iHeartRadio custom station, on in-store TVs in the MstyleLab department at Macy’s, on macys.com and via Macy’s social media sites.  The winner will also have the opportunity to perform at signature Macy’s events including its four-city high-fashion and music extravaganza – Macy’s Passport presents Glamorama.

The latest single from Jessie and the Toy Boys, “Let’s Get Naughty,” has quickly climbed the Billboard Dance Club Play Chart, currently at #21 – she’s in good company with the likes of Chris Brown, The Wanted and others in her direct path as she continues to climb the chart.  This past weekend, Jessie brought her dynamic live stage performance to a lively crowd at Jeffrey Sanker’s White Party in Palm Springs.  Currently, Jessie Malakouti, the namesake of Jessie and the Toy Boys, can also be heard on DJ Felli Fel’s “It’s Your Birthday Bitch” featuring Lil Jon.
