Just moments after being nominated for Best New Artist, Song of the Year, Best R&B Song, Best Urban Contemporary Album, and Best Music Video for the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards, Khalid dropped a huge announcement — he’s going on tour next year!
The 19-year-old revealed dates for the upcoming The Roxy Tour, which will be making a number of stops in major markets including New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Philadelphia.
The Roxy Tour was inspired by Khalid’s recently adopted Pitbull mix, Roxy, who he rescued from a Los Angeles-based animal shelter. Khalid is passionate about using his platform to support animal rights and finding safe, humane environments for animals to live, and will donate $1 from every ticket sold on tour to local animal shelters in the city of each stop.
“Recently, I adopted my Dog Roxy from a humane pet shelter! Through the process, it allowed me to realize how important humane shelters are and how powerful animal adoption can be! With every ticket purchase on this tour, a donation will be made to a local animal shelter! So excited for this tour! See you guys there 🤘🏾✨❤️” Khalid shared on Instagram.
