Kylie Hughes is back with a brand-new music video for her single “Never Ever”
Blended with Hughes’ angelic vocals are the music video’s striking visuals: a single, drifting rose in misty waters, a candelabra flickering through twisted tree branches and Hughes layered in white lace and chiffon, donning a vintage tiara, just to name a few. Directed by Jamie Yukich, the overall effect is mesmerizing and hauntingly tragic in the best way.
The single “Never Ever,” produced and co-written by Brent Bourgeois, features a more intimate, soulful sound than the California-bred Hughes’ debut EP Calipopicana. The six-song album was named for the singer-songwriter’s blend of classic pop, Americana soul and beachy melodies.
“Never Ever” can be heard on the songstress’ debut EP Calipopicana, which is available on iTunes.
