On Sia – “I really enjoyed getting to work with her, because she is so down to earth and so sweet. She’s pretty much my family now. We did three videos together which is so cool, and hopefully we’ll do more… I definitely want to grow up to be like her. She is so well known, but such a sweet person. She’s humble and caring. You would never think she’s a celebrity.”
Advice she got from Sia – “Always stay humble and don’t get cocky, because it’s annoying when people are like that. She also said to never work too hard. It’s good to keep dancing every day, but if you aren’t passionate about it, don’t do it.”
On her SNL performance – “I go to bed when it’s airing, but I wasn’t tired [when I went on] because I was so excited. I didn’t realize how big of a deal it was. And I didn’t realize what a big deal Kristen Wiig was!”
On dancing with Kristen Wiig – “For me and Kristen, we just had that little tiny stage with all that stuff filled in the set. It was hard to move. There were so many things. And she had, like a ballet coach, stretch her. She’s so funny too. She’s hilarious.”
How Shia Labeouf scared her and wouldn’t talk to her on set – “Shia gets really into character. Like he will not talk to anybody before. When we were getting ready for the video he was running in circles, doing pushups with his knuckles, and like hitting the cage and stuff. I was trying to talk to him and then I was like, ‘You know what? I’m not going to talk.’ I was literally scared! I was like, ‘Does he always do this? I was so nervous.”
Her style icon – “I really like Zendaya’s style. She’s kind of tomboyish, but still girly at the same time.”
About being a celebrity – “It’s really cool but overwhelming. Celebrities know me now, and it’s funny. But I don’t consider myself a celebrity.”
