Celeb Secrets caught up with Madisyn recently to talk all about Game Shakers, Ordinary World, and the teen star’s latest obsessions. Check out the full Q&A below, and make sure to catch the season two premiere of Game Shakers next Saturday, September 17th @ 8PM on Nickelodeon and Ordinary World in theaters on Friday, October 14th.

Celeb Secrets: Are you currently obsessed with any shows, movies, songs?

Madisyn Shipman: “Oh my gah!! Anyone who knows me knows that I am obsessed with Pretty Little Liars and Switched at Birth. I recently had a fan girl moment at the Teen Choice Awards when I met Troian Bellisario from PLL. I love the movies Hot Chick and White Chicks. I can literally quote the entire movie! Yeah, I know pretty annoying! As for songs, I’m loving Melanie Martinez’s “Milk and Cookies” and Ingrid Michaelson’s “Hell No”.”

Celeb Secrets: Can you tell us more about your upcoming film “Ordinary World” and the character you play?

Madisyn Shipman: “Ordinary World is about the struggle that Perry (Billie Joe), a former punk rocker encounters. His band has been on a ten year hiatus and he is kinda experiencing a mid-life crisis. He believes his wife (Selma) and his daughter (moi!) forgot his birthday. He decides to throw himself a pity party at a fancy NYC hotel and bumps into an old crush while there. I don’t wanna spoil everything for you guys though.

I play Salome. She is a normal girl who loves playing her guitar and is family oriented. The movie comes out in October, so plan to go see it! And you may even see me singing and playing guitar in the movie!”

Celeb Secrets: What was it like working with Billie Joe Armstrong?

Madisyn Shipman: “Working with Billie was such an honor. He is a living legend and being able to work with him was such an amazing experience that I will always remember.”

Celeb Secrets: Were you nervous when you had to play the guitar in front of Billie?

Madisyn Shipman: “At first, gosh yes!! Then I realized that he was there to help me. He really is such a gentle soul.”

Celeb Secrets: What can fans expect from the upcoming season of “Game Shakers”?

Madisyn Shipman: “You guys can expect some crazy animal encounters for sure! Be prepared for some crazy, fun adventures.”

Celeb Secrets: If you could do a cross-over with any other Nickelodeon show, which show would you pick?

Madisyn Shipman: “I would love to do a cross-over with School of Rock. I’m really into music, so that would be pretty awesome!”

Celeb Secrets: What is your absolute favorite app right now?

Madisyn Shipman: “My favorite app is a tie between Instagram and Snapchat. I really like the new Instagram stories they created. It’s similar to Snapchat but really convenient being on the same app.”

Celeb Secrets: Other than “Game Shakers” and “Ordinary World”, are you currently working on any other projects?

Madisyn Shipman: “Currently, we are filming Season 2 of Game Shakers. We are in production until the end of the year. I can’t wait for you all to see what we have in store for you this season.”

Celeb Secrets: Where do you see yourself 5 years from now

Madisyn Shipman: “In 5 years, I see myself being in college and studying neuroscience. I’m obsessed with science.”

Celeb Secrets: Since we are Celeb Secrets, do you have a secret or a fun fact about yourself that your fans may not know about?

Madisyn Shipman: “I have a celebrity crush on Romeo Beckham. And yes, I do realize he doesn’t even know I exist! I mean, we can all dream, right?!”
