The day has come… we FINALLY get a premiere date for season two ofMake It Pop!

Nickelodeon announced earlier this week that the music-infused daily scripted series will return for a 20-episode second season starting this January.

With all new songs and performances, heightened drama and lots of laughs, season two will continue to follow the coming-of-age journey of social media maven Sun Hi (Megan Lee), bookish Corki (Erika Tham), fashion-forward Jodi (Louriza Tronco), and DJ Caleb (Dale Whibley)at Mackendrick Prep, who, out of their love of music, formed the band XO-IQ.

Season two has the gang faced with bigger challenges and higher stakes. XO-IQ has yet to reunite after a number of setbacks — Corki (Tham)is in danger of being removed from Mackendrick Prep by her father, Jodi (Tronco)is deciding if she should pursue her love of fashion, and now that Sun Hi (Lee)is clashing with hotshot guitarist Linc, it looks like XO-IQ might be over, until a new band competition and rival boy band emerge and change everything.

Season 2 ofMake It Poppremieres Monday, January 4th @ 7PM ET/PT on Nickelodeon. Make sure to tune in to the show’s holiday special this Friday, December 5th @ 9PM ET/PT to get in the spirit of Christmas!
