You’ve probably caught yourself singing The Chainsmokers‘ song “Roses” everywhere you went this year. While you can probably recite the lyrics verbatim, you may not know the woman who provided those amazing vocals.
Meet ROZES — a Philadelphia-raised vocalist who loves flower crowns, songwriting, and collaborating on major hits such as Big Gigantic‘s “All of Me,” Just A Gent‘s “Limelight,” and Louis Fulton‘s “Wasted On You.”
Did you know that a majority of her collaborations come about through social media? “My collaboration with The Chainsmokers came about through Twitter. We became Twitter friends first and then arranged everything through DM,” ROZES tells us. “All of my collaborations have been either happening that way, through email, or from a friend of a friend.”
In addition to her smash-hit collabs, ROZES is also working on her own original music. Her newest single “Under the Grave” currently boasts over 2 million streams on Spotify and has an absolutely stunning music video. A full record is set to be released next year.
Celeb Secrets caught up with ROZES in New York City where she talked about songwriting, her newest track “Under The Grave,” and why she thinks you should give her original music a listen! Check out the video below and make sure to keep up with ROZES by following her on Twitter at @ROZESsounds.
