Screen Shot 2014-01-12 at 1.56.46 PMMTV has officially set a premiere date for their new series Faking It!

The big news was announced during Viacom’s panel at the 2014 TCA Winter Press Tour held at the Langham Huntington Hotel & Spa on Friday (January 10) in Pasadena, Calif.

Faking It is a comedy that revolves around two best friends who love each other in slightly different ways. They will do almost anything to fit in and be popular in high school, including pretending to be something they are not. After numerous failed attempts to become popular, the girls are mistakenly outed as lesbians, which launches them to instant celebrity status. Seduced by their newfound fame, Karma and Amy decide to keep up their romantic ruse.

The series stars  Katie Stevens as “Karma,” Rita Volk as “Amy,” Michael Willett as “Shane,” Gregg Sulkin as “Liam” and Bailey Buntain as “Lauren.”

Faking It is slated to air globally on MTV’s channels around the world beginning with its U.S. debut on April 22, 2014. Each episode of “Faking It” will air across MTV’s international channels beginning in June 2014 (check local listings).
