Music Monday: Meet Sunny Malouf (@SunnyMalouf #MusicMonday)

Meet our new Music Monday artist this week, Sunny Malouf.

Sunny Malouf is a multi-talented dancer, actress, and singer-songwriter that is relatively new to the industry. At only eleven years old, the rising star already has support with from A-List musicians and producers.

Under the tutelage of award-winning music producer Damon Sharpe (Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Destiny’s Child, Alesso), Sunny released her debut single “Lightning In A Bottle” featuring the nae nae master Silentó. The track is only a few weeks old and has already gained major exposure. Right before the Mayweather-Berto fight in Las Vegas on September 12, Sunny and Silentó performed the track which premiered on Showtime.

What’s next for the budding musician? Sunny is hitting the recording studio to work on new music.

CelebSecrets4U caught up with Sunny Malouf recently to talk all things music! In our interview, the singer/songwriter talked to us about her debut single “Lightning In A Bottle,” how her collaboration with Silentó came about, what it was like having her performance aired on TV, and more. She also dished about collabing with Flo-Rida and OMI, what she’s currently working on and her love for FOX’s hit series Empire — make sure to read the full Q&A below!

CS4U: Your new single “Lightning In A Bottle” was recently released on iTunes. Congratulations! How did this song come about?

Sunny Malouf: “Thank you. It came about by you know, me coming out of my world into the real world just like lightning coming out of a bottle. It’s meant to inspire others.

CS4U: How did Silentó get involved in the project? What was it like working with him?

Sunny Malouf: “He is a young and energetic performer, like me. We wanted to reach the same audience. He had a lot of positive energy and I loved his song. It was fun and he cracked lots of jokes along the way.

CS4U: Your song aired during a live performance on Showtime before the Mayweather-Berto fight. How exciting was that? What was the feedback like then and now to the song?

Sunny Malouf: “It was VERY exciting since it was Floyd’s first time to see me perform live. I have received LOTS of positive feedback from my fans- they are WONDERFUL!”

CS4U: You’re working on some more music. You’re set to collaborate with Flo- Rida & OMI. Can you tell us anything about these collaborations or what we can expect from your other songs?

Sunny Malouf: “Yes! I am always working on songs! It’s fun and such a great learning experience to work with such talent! You can learn more about me through the lyrics.”

CS4U: You also dance and act. Can we expect any new projects in those areas?

Sunny Malouf: “2016 is going to be a great year for me as you will be able to see who I am! Stay tuned.”

CS4U: Can we expect a tour anytime soon?

Sunny Malouf: “YES! You can surely expect a tour from me in 2016! It’s going to take over the world!”

CS4U: You recently took a pic with Ta’Rhonda Jones from Empire. Do you watch the show? Do you listen to the music?

Sunny Malouf: “Yes! I watch the show, Empire is very inspiring to me. I was excited to meet Ta’Rhonda, she had such positive energy. She took time to talk to me and we even danced together. I listen to the music and recently downloaded their song ‘You’re So Beautiful.'”

CS4U: What do you like to do when you’re not busy recording music or working on other projects?

Sunny Malouf: “I love hanging out with my family, friends & doing what normal kids do.”

CS4U: You’re still so young and you’ve already done so much! Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Sunny Malouf: “In 10 years I see myself being a positive role model to others and inspiring them to believe in themselves and follow their dreams.”

CS4U: Since we are CelebSecrets4U, can you tell us a secret about yourself that your fans may not know?

Sunny Malouf: “I really love to play practical jokes and make people laugh. I enjoy running! I do not like scary things- movies, roller coasters or heights.”
