Every week, we introduce you to new music from amazing upcoming artists. Today, meet Timeflies.
Timeflies is a hip-hop, rap, and pop duo that originated in late 2010 in Boston and is currently located in New York City. College buddies Rob Resnick (Rez), producer, provides the beats while Cal Shapiro is on vocals.
Before landing a record deal with Island Records, the band released singles every week for free through something they called Timeflies Tuesdays–a series in which the band was able to stay connected with fans by releasing remixes, performing live covers, and freestyling over original beats.
CelebSecrets4U was invited to an album showcase at Island Records where Cal and Rez gave members of the press and special VIPs an exclusive preview of their debut album, After Hours. The guys performed their current single “All The Way” with a little freestyle twist and even debuted some never-been-heard tracks.
