Nash Grier and Cameron Dallas, better know as Vine Kings, are going from 6 second clips to a much bigger setting: a full feature film.
As you probably already know, the two best friends first started out on Vine. Vine is a popular social platform that let’s you create a short story within the span of 6 seconds. After hundreds of clips and millions of loops, Nash and Cameron each created a fanbase of 25+ million! With a following like that, it’s no wonder why the world-renowned actor James Franco (The Interview, Spider-Man trilogy) has gotten in on the #Cash4ever craze by recreating one of Grier’s iconic Vine.
Now that they have conquered other social networks such as Twitter and Instagram, they plan on tackling an even bigger and better entertainment medium with their upcoming iTunes movie, The Outfield. The comedy-drama film is about 3 high school friends entering their final year of high school. As we follow them on their transition from the baseball field to the real world, we see how their choices will affect their friendship and their future. The Outfield will also feature Disney stars Caroline Sunshine (Shake It Up) and Joey Bragg (Liv and Maddie).
The boys appeared on the TODAY Show on Monday morning to talk about their success and the movie with hosts Al Roker, Natalie Morales and Willie Geist. Check out the interview below!
The Outfield is set be released through video on demand on Tuesday, November 10th! You won’t want to miss it!
