Have you ever dreamt of being a Disney Channel kid? Well for some lucky individuals, like Bunk’d star Nathan Arenas, that quickly dream became his reality.

After his first audition ever, Arenas managed to nab the role of the lovable camp fibber, Jorge. Now, he get’s to hang around other well-known Disney stars like Peyton List and Skai Jackson while having the opportunity to do one of the things he loves most: acting.

Celeb Secrets spoke with Arenas about life on Bunk’d and what viewers can expect to see throughout the show’s second season. Trust us, it will be worth the wait.

Bunk’d airs Fridays at 6:00 PM on Disney Channel.

Celeb Secrets: Tells us more about your character Jorge on Bunk’d. What’s he like?

Nathan: “Jorge is a really outgoing kid. He has a very expanded imagination and at first, you might think you know what kind of a kid you’re dealing with. When you actually get to know him, he’s a really sweet and cool kid—not counting the fibs. He’s actually maturing a lot more, or getting weirder since that’s his way of understanding that word.”

Celeb Secrets: Can you relate to Jorge in any way?

Nathan: “Apart from both of us being so awesome! I see a lot of the younger me in Jorge— we both have a very expanded imagination. We definitely always have something on our minds and [we] always end up just blurting it out.”

Celeb Secrets: What’s it like being apart of the Disney family and working with stars such as Peyton List and Karan Brar?

Nathan: “It’s really awesome working with the whole cast because I have watched them on TV, and ‘Jessie’ was my favorite Disney show. So when I found out I was working with Peyton, Karan, and Skai, I was really excited. Now, I honestly consider the whole Bunk’d cast a family.”

Celeb Secrets: What can fans expect on upcoming episodes of season 2?

Nathan: “In Season 2 of Bunk’d, you will be seeing a lot of surprises! You will see many exciting things, some funny and some possibly a bit sad, but you have to watch to find out.”

Celeb Secrets: Since the show takes place in a summer camp, what would be one essential that you have to bring to summer camp with you?

Nathan: “Not only will I tell you one thing, but I’ll tell you everything I would take to camp in my backpack! 2 cans of bug spray (just in case one gets emptied), 3 joggers, 5-7 pairs of boxers, 3 shirts, 2 sweatshirts, 2 pairs of shoes, 5 pairs of socks, and 3 decks of cards because I do close-up card tricks.”

Celeb Secrets: What has been your favorite episode to film so far?

Nathan: “My favorite episode to film has got to be ‘Fog’d In’ because I got to play a zombie and all the makeup on my face was so cool. I also got to break a table in half which was so cool!”

Celeb Secrets: When you’re not filming what do you like to do for fun? Do you ever hang out with the Bunk’d cast off set?

Nathan: “Well, I like to draw a lot!! I mostly draw people (who don’t actually exist) because there is hidden life in a drawing especially in a portrait. I also do close-up card and prop magic. I love magic because it makes you feel like something that you think is impossible becomes possible which I love.”

Celeb Secrets: Since we are Celeb Secrets, what a behind the scenes secret from BUNK’D that people would not know when watching the show?

Nathan: “While filming Bunk’d, we would always hide a stuffed woodchuck behind the bushes in some scenes of the show, so make sure to try and find it in some scenes! Hint: it usually appears in the lawn, our cabins and mess hall where the lake is in view!”
