Nickelodeon’s Game Shakers is joining forces with the nonprofit group Girls Who Code to create an one-hour special to help raise awareness of the gender gap in computing fields.

In the episode “Revenge @ Tech Fest”, the Game Shakers gang gear up to debut their new game OctoPie at the annual Tech Fest – a Brooklyn based convention solely focused on today’s technology. Unfortunately, the team encounters a bump in the road when a rival from the past returns to seek vengeance. Knowing that they can’t defeat the unknown nemesis alone, they turn to their buddies at Girls Who Code to help them out. The episode will solidify Nickelodeon’s promise to help raise awareness around STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education and coding concepts.

In addition to the all-new episode, fans can now download and play the TV series-inspired app OctoPie. The game challenges players to help guide a pizza-delivering octopus travel through the chaotic city of New York by leaping from building to building. In order for the octopus to successful delivery the pies, he must dodge obstacles, toss pizzas through windows, and collect tips along the way. OctoPie is the third game from the hit TV series following Sky Whale and Nasty Goats. It’s also the third app to reach the no. 1 slot among the free apps in the App Store Kids section.

The special episode “Revenge @ Tech Fest” will be airing Saturday (May 21) at 8 pm (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon!
