Jason Sudeikis is opening up about his breakup with ex-fiancée Olivia Wilde.
The Ted Lasso star broke his silence about the breakup, explaining how he doesn’t have much clarity of why exactly the breakup happened.
“I’ll have a better understanding of why in a year. And an even better one in two, and an even greater one in five, and it’ll go from being, you know, a book of my life to becoming a chapter to a paragraph to a line to a word to a doodle,” Sudeikis shares in his profile piece, which can be found in the August issue of GQ.
The SNL alum opened up that the breakup has made him learn more about himself.
“That’s an experience that you either learn from or make excuses about. You take some responsibility for it, hold yourself accountable for what you do, but then also endeavor to learn something beyond the obvious from it,” he said.
The couple, who share two children together, split back in in early 2020, calling off their seven-year engagement.
Sudeikis isn’t letting the breakup hit him too hard. While rumors swirled that he was still heartbroken, the actor won a Golden Globe for “Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy.” In his acceptance speech, he wore something less than casual, but really comfortable, a tie-dye hoodie, causing speculation that he was either high or still heartbroken.
He cleared the rumors and said, “I was neither high nor heartbroken,” the actor said. “I wore that hoodie because I didn’t wanna f****** wear the f****** top half of a Tom Ford suit. I love Tom Ford suits. But it felt weird as s***.”
It seems as if the We’re The Millers actor has moved on, as he’s been getting cozy with his Ted Lasso co-star, Keeley Hazell. The couple were spotted taking a stroll around New York City, with a source telling People, “They’ve been dating for a little while now. They’re just having fun. It’s nothing serious at this point.”
For Olivia, the actress began a relationship with pop singer, Harry Styles in 2021. The former One Direction member was working with her for upcoming thriller, Don’t Worry Darling. The actress, whose 10 years his senior, was spotted last week with the “Watermelon Sugar” singer on a romantic vacation in Italy, showing major PDA.
