RCA Nashville’s recording artist Old Dominion has claimed the #1 spot with “Break Up With Him” in country music for the 2nd week in a row on Billboard/BDS Country Airplay chart! Plus, the hit single also reached the #1 spot on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase Country chart. *WOAH* Talk about a hit!
Old Dominion is collectively made up of 5 wonderful songwriters: Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Brad Tursi, Geoff Sprung, and Whit Sellers. Collectively they have five #1 records at country radio, having penned for big country artists, such as Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Tyler Farr, and The Band Perry.
“Break Up With Him” can officially be added to the list of No. 1’s making that 6 in total! What makes the pot even sweeter is that the song “Break Up With Him” is their first #1 that they’ve all written together as the band Old Dominion.
The band released their debut album Meat and Candy this past Friday (Nov. 6). It has been described as a great debut into the country music scene. If the album is anything like their single “Break Up With Him,” I’m sure that it will hit #1 as well.
