Paul McCartney Joins Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean 5

Move over Keith Richards, you won’t be the only British rock star to appear in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise.

Paul McCartney has signed on for a role in “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” according to Deadline. This is the 5th film for the Disney franchise. No details have been announced about the character but McCartney will appear in an extra scene that has been added to the movie.

It’s been six years since the last Pirates of the Caribbean was released. Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush will be reprising their roles on the pirate adventures. Kaya Scodelario (The Maze Runner’s) and Brenton Thwaites (The Giver’s) joining the cast along with Javier Bardem, who is set to play a villain named Captain Salazar.

“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” is set to be released on May 26, 2017.
