The red carpet at the 2017 People’s Choice Awards was certainly star-studded last night (January 18th).
Held at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, many of Hollywood’s favorite stars were in attendance from Blake Lively, Kristin Bell, Victoria Justice, Cameron Dallas and musical group Fifth Harmony.
The PCAs are a bit of a wild card, since this show is voted by the people it seems people have a bit more freedom in choosing what to wear. It’s not as fancy as other award shows this award season like the Golden Globes, but it’s definitely a wild card when it comes down to this carpet.
Everyone was dressed in a style that represented them, turning heads in gorgeous gowns and suits, and looking stunning. Others were turning heads for all the wrong reasons.
Check out our list of best and worst dressed ladies at the 2017 People’s Choice Awards below.
Jamie Chung looked beautiful in a yellow Martha Medeiros gown. It was a perfect look for the PCA’s, simple, but young and fun. The flowers and the slit were the perfect touch of cuteness, without overdoing it. Her loose locks paired perfectly with the gown and laced heels.
Ruby Rose definitely made Orange the new Black in a Veronica Beard suit. Rose definitely owned this look and made it look red carpet chic, while adding her own touch of not wearing a gown. She added those red carpet touches with going topless, paired perfectly with black heels and a dark winter lip.
Blake Lively looked gorgeous in a black dress! She played it safe by wearing all black, but added a twist with the tassels, a slight cheetah print shoe, and a few peek-a-boos in her dress. She definitely dressed to impress for her first PCA win.
Tahj Mowry was one of favorite men dressed at the PCA’s. It’s hard for the men to standout when it comes to red carpets, but Mowry turned heads in this very sway suit. He lingered from your typical suit and tie, and decided to mix it up with an ankle showing, stripped suit, and all black dress shoes. Best dressed guy of the entire night without a doubt!
Jennifer Lopez seems to never do wrong, and she definitely didn’t let us down for this carpet. She kept it elegant in a floor length, Reem Acra black gown, but didn’t over do it for this type of carpet. The beading in the front added a simple touch that paired well with her all silver jewelry and slicked back up do.
Kristen Bell we love you, but what were you thinking? Everything about this look worked, except for one small detail….her boobs. The bust area just doesn’t seem like it belongs on her outfit. It seems as if someone sprayed on whip cream for fun.
Chris Sullivan did you not check the mirror before you left? It seems as if he rushed out of the house in a hurry. The pants didn’t match with his blazer, while his shoes were not dress shoes, but running shoes. Then there was the baseball cap. It just seemed like he couldn’t pick one look. Definitely worst dressed of the night.
Jodie Sweetin was trying to do too much all at once. The dress is pretty stunning, but the leather jacket took that away. It would have done better all on its own. She tried to go for a glam rock look, but the hair, the leather jacket, and the rose dress didn’t pair well at all. I would have loved her looking elegant with just the dress and a simple up-do.
Yara Shahidi is flawless, but this dress didn’t quite work for her. Her face and hair looked beautiful, but the dress was doing too much. Reminding us of a chess or checkerboard, and with the addition to the ruffles, she looked like a character straight from Alice in Wonderland.
Chandra Wilson‘s mismatched look had us a little confused. Was she going to an award show or to the super market? The hair seemed like a sweet sixteen hair do gone all wrong, and it looked like she borrowed her clutch from the same sweet sixteen as well.
