Celeb Secrets: The Goldbergs is back on ABC with brand new episodes! What can we expect from the family this upcoming season?

Hayley Orrantia: “SO MUCH! There’s a lot of change happening in the Goldberg house this season. Adam goes to high school, Erica is trying to get over Geoff who is now dating Evy and Beverly becomes a substitute teacher!”

Celeb Secrets: How do you think Erica has changed from season 1 to now?

Hayley Orrantia: “I think Erica is really learning to accept herself more for who she is instead of trying to just be the popular girl in school. Over the years she has discovered this love for music, she’s taken part in a lot of extracurricular activities and came to terms with her feelings for Geoff.”

Celeb Secrets: The cast has great chemistry on-camera. What’s it like on set when the cameras aren’t rolling?

Hayley Orrantia: “We love each other like family. I am so thankful to work with a cast that is so genuine, kind and funny! Jeff and Wendi are such great mentors when it comes to teaching me about the industry. Troy and I are like siblings in real life, but I love him dearly. Sean is the SWEETEST human being alive. I love listening to George tell me his stories and play the banjo and AJ has truly become one of my best friends. Not to mention, the entire crew is my second family. I thank God for them every day.”

Celeb Secrets: You’re also a country singer. Do you prefer singing or acting?

Hayley Orrantia: “That’s such a hard question. Music is my first love and something I am most familiar with. It’s like second nature to me. However, acting has been an incredible challenge that has paid off in so many ways. I would love to do both for as long as I can.”

Celeb Secrets: Will we ever get to hear your music on “The Goldbergs?”

Hayley Orrantia: “I don’t think you will ever hear any original Hayley Orrantia music on The Goldbergs. They love incorporating popular 80’s music into the show and I don’t blame them. I am just thankful that I get to do covers on the show every now and then! Who knows, maybe one day you’ll hear an original!”

Celeb Secrets: For people that haven’t watched “The Goldbergs” yet, why do you think they should tune in to the new season?

Hayley Orrantia: “I feel like so many people from different walks of life can relate to this show and this family. It is about a REAL family and most of these stories are based on actual events. I, personally, think the writing is hilarious and my cast mates are some of the funniest people in the industry! If you haven’t seen the show, you should, because you’re missing out!”

Celeb Secrets: Since we are Celeb Secrets, what’s a secret behind the scenes on “The Goldbergs” that people wouldn’t know when watching the show?

Hayley Orrantia: “Adam F. Goldberg, the creator of the show, is all about being genuine. When it comes to recreating a moment that he experienced in real life, he will be make sure it is to-the-T. He wants it to be just like he remembers and that it is authentic to the 80’s he knows and loves. I truly believe it pays off in the end!”
