Jordyn Jones, the adorable and sassy dancer from season one of Lifetime’s Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition, is officially coming out of her shell and CS4U could not be more stoked about it!

Since Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition, the 14-year-old singer, dancer, and actress has performed at the MTV Video Music Awards, Kids’ Choice Awards, Dancing with the Stars, and The X Factor. Jordyn has also ventured out into music by covering Sharaya J’s “Banji,” Iggy Azaleas’s “Fancy,” and “Winter Wonderland” with X Factor alums Forever In Your Mind. She is currently in the studio recording her debut EP with critically acclaimed Grammy award winning producer Charlie Midnight.

Jordyn’s most recent project is a dance contest called Step It Up With Jordy Jones. Every week, Jordyn’s fans can learn a new dance combo with Jordyn on her YouTube channel [stepsgirl] and upload their routine to YouTube. There is a winner picked each week over the next five weeks for a special prize.

The bigger than life personality of Jordyn is evident by her impressive presence on the web, captivating audiences, with over 150,000 subscribers on YouTube, 800 thousand followers on Instagram, 65 thousand followers on Twitter, and 60 thousand likes on Facebook. Her YouTube channel boasts an average of 150,000 viewers per video.

CS4U caught up with Jordyn recently where she talked about her new Nickelodeon pilot, her dance contest, and new music. Make sure to read the full Q&A below!

CS4U: You just shot the pilot for a new Nickelodeon show, “Move It or Lose It.” What can you tell us about it?

Jordyn: “I can tell you that Nickelodeon picks up their show React to that, so hopefully we would be picked up for next season!”

CS4U: How did you get inspired to do your “Step It Up With Jordy Jones” dance contest for your fans?

Jordyn: “Our whole team thought it would be a really cool idea to release my first single that can be, I guess cool and  have someone come out to LA and meet me. So we decided to post this idea because people always wanted to learn my dances or be in my video or learn my dance moves from my video. So we kind of all worked it out that we’d have this contest so someone could fly out to LA and meet me and hopefully be in my video.”

CS4U: How do you choose which songs to cover, and which has been the most fun music video to shoot?

Jordyn: “The last couple of ones I’ve been singing around the house and my mom will be like, “oh you sound good in that do you like the song?” and I’m like yea I like it and she’ll call the producer and I’ll be in the studio the next day recording it. I would say my most fun video would be my Christmas one Christmas wonderland featuring Forever in Your Mind.”

CS4U: What can you tell us about the EP you’re recording?

Jordyn: “We’re not sure how many songs it’ll be but we’re just going to keep on writing them. You can expect there to be a different range of songs. I don’t even know much about it yet because I’ve only heard 2 songs, but when I know more I will for sure tell you guys.”

CS4U: Did you make any New Years Resolutions for 2015?

Jordyn: “I stopped eating McDonald’s so I guess that’s one. And also goals. I want to reach a million followers on instagram, go on tour and meet a lot of fans and just travel worldwide. And I don’t know more things are happening and I’m reaching more goals everyday so they change quickly.”

CS4U: Since our website is called CS4U, do you have any secrets or hidden talents you can share with us?

Jordyn: “I can put my leg behind my head and I can cross my eye and look forward with the other one.”
