With a couple of singles under her belt, and performing at countless venues over the past few years, Rachele Lynae knows what her fans are demanding. So it should come as no surprise that her brand new single, “Whole Lotta Nothin’,” delivers plenty of punches from the vibrant artist.
The infectious, feel good song was co-written by Rachele, along with Nashville tunesmiths, Hannah Bethel and David Myhre, as they were reflecting on how their lives tend to constantly go “a million miles an hour” most of the time, lacking that break we all need now and again.
“We are such busy people these days, and sometimes we don’t have time to actually leave everything behind and head for the beach,” Rachele says of the song’s inspiration. “There’s just something about the ocean that calms us down and makes everything feel good. This song takes us to the beach, even if it’s just for three minutes!”
“Whole Lotta Nothin'” will impact country radio starting January 20, 2015. The new single is one of the first SiriusXM Highway Finds of the year and is also available now for purchase through iTunes. The tune will be one of the highly anticipated new tracks found on her forthcoming sophomore project to be released through Momentum Label Group. Like her self-titled debut release, the new project will contain songs written by the dynamic singer, showcasing her unique talent as a gifted songwriter.
This week (Jan. 15-16), Rachele will be part of the Country Cares for St. Jude Kids fundraiser taking place at the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. During her visit, Rachele will get to spend quality time with patients. Next month, she will perform at the first annual Honkytonk Classic and Benefit Concert set for February 7, 2015 at the Gentry Center at Nashville’s Tennessee State University. The event brings gymnasts from across the country to participate in a high level competition, raising funds for Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
