RAELYNN will perform her GOLD-certified “God Made Girls” – the first debut single in nine years by a solo female artist that has sold over half a million copies and solidified her standing as the highest charting debut single by a solo female artist in 2014 – on NBC’s TODAY next Monday (3/9). The magnetic singer/songwriter’s new single, “For A Boy,” will be available on iTunes the same day and officially impacts Country radio on March 23.
This Saturday (3/7), RaeLynn will help celebrate the 30th Anniversary of National Music In Our Schools Month with a week-long bus tour that kicks off during Festival Disney at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The vibrant 20-year-old will hit the road to encourage today’s youth to “Always Sing,” a mantra fittingly used as the title to a song she wrote for the initiative. Joining Give a Note Foundation and Radio Disney to share the message that music belongs in schools, RaeLynn will visit five communities – Sayville High School in West Sayville, NY, near Long Island (March 9); Bowie High School in Bowie, MD, near Washington, DC, (March 10); Mason Elementary in Canton, OH, near Cleveland (March 11); Ridgeview Elementary in Hobart, IN, near Chicago, IL (March 12); and Thomas Jefferson Elementary in Jeffersonville, IN, near Louisville, KY (March 13) – where student ensembles will perform “Always Sing.” Additionally, RaeLynn will perform a special private concert at each stop with Radio Disney’s on-air personality Brooke Taylor hosting the on-site activities. Culminating on March 14, students from Head Middle School in Nashville, TN will perform with RaeLynn at the Grand Ole Opry.
