Scotty McCreery is becoming an author!
The “Southern Belle” singer is set to release his debut book Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream next year with Zondervan.
Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream narrates McCreery’s journey from a kid imitating Elvis on the school bus to 230 million viewers across America tuning in to see him win Season 10 of American Idol to building a successful country music career.
Now on the eve of his 22nd birthday (October 9) as he completes his eagerly awaited fourth album (2016), McCreery shares a glimpse of where he came from and the impact his faith, family and friends have had on a humble guy who keep saying “why me?” This is his journey from his North Carolina roots to winning America’s most popular singing competition and moving to launch the musical career he had always dreamt about.
“God gave me a voice and America gave me a chance,” says McCreery. “This book is about those two things, and about the amazing journey that began the moment I decided to say two words about this show I knew and loved. Why not?”
Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream will be available on May 3, 2016. The book will also be available for pre-orders beginning November 15, with more details to be announced.
