“Dancing With The Stars” Performance Night Recap – September 16, 2013 (@DancingABC)

DANCING WITH THE STARS CAST, LARA SPENCER, TOM BERGERON, GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS, BROOKE BURKE CHARVET, SAM CHAMPION, JOSH ELLIOTTLadies and gents, welcome to Dancing with the Stars, season 17.  Audiences across America have been waiting in anticipation to see how the cast of the new season would perform under the striking lights America’s favorite, long running dance series.

Twelve acts touched the dance Floor of DWTS and although there were some nerves and stiffness, each contestant tackled their fears and danced their hearts out. Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd opened the floor with a  charming Cha cha using dazzling footwork and stylish spins. Sadly, our own Bill Nye “The Science Guy” was not as skilled in the ballroom as he is in the lab, but we still enjoyed his spirited moves. Disney’s Corbin Bleu along with partner Karina Smirnoff, impressed judges with professionally executed dance moves.  Even MTV’s Jersey Shore star “Snooki” along with pro Sasha Farber, moved with surprising excellence as they danced to a Cha Cha rendition of “Wild one”. Glee Star Amber Riley stole the show with amazing stage presence and fantastic technique, scoring triple 9’s across the board. Judge, Carrie Ann Inaba, titled Valerie Harpor as the “Inspiration of the Nation” as she continues to battle cancer and compete in this fun, wholesome reality show.

The level of professionalism blew audiences away. Even judge, Len Goodman admitted, “I have never given out so many 8’s on the first night”.
