Shaun White: “I Never Got Over My 4th Place Finish in Sochi”

Shaun White is known for being the “king of the halfpipe” and plans to keep that title for years to come.

The 30-year-old snowboarder appeared on the Today Show yesterday to talk about the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Games in South Korea, which is officially less than one year away.

After taking some time off to pursue his own competition Air + Style and a clothing line at Macy’s, people were wondering if the “flying tomato” would ever ride again. White competed in X Games Aspen 2017 just two weeks ago, finishing his worst since his X Games debut in 2000.

The snowboarder also finished fourth at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, which White says “he never got over.” After a win at the US Mammoth Grand Prix last week, Shaun says he is ready for Pyeongchang and has some “big tricks” up his sleeve.
