Shay Mitchell’s Exclusive Interview With Seventeen Magazine!

Pretty Little Liars Star Shay Mitchell got together with Seventeen Magazine and revealed to Seventeen Magazine her secret to feeling confident, the type of guy who takes her breath away, as well as which PLL co-star she goes to for advice.

Shay says that the key to her heart is ,”If you can make me laugh, my heart is yours! I think there’s nothing more attractive than someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously.”

Shay spilled on her PLLCo-Stars Torian, Lucy and Ashley, “I’m so close with each of the girls for different things. Troian is my go-to when I want advice on something. She’s literally like her character — so smart. Lucy is so cute and southern. We joke around a lot on-set. And Ashley is like the fun, carefree little sister I never had.”

Shay Declares Body Peace saying, “Take that one thing you don’t like about yourself and more often than not that’s the one thing that makes you more special. Whether it’s that gap in your teeth, or that mole you never liked, or your skin color.”

Shay has inspired many people and here is what she has to say to all those she has inspired, “When I was in high school, I wanted to be a counselor and I wanted to work with kids. I’ve been through the worst of high school. And I want to motivate people to live the best life that they can, because we’re only here for one life.”

Shay Spills on PLL Secrets From The Set, “All the [PLL] girls have different body types…I’m not going to fit into the size Lucy wears, or what any of the other girls wear. Some clothes work on me that don’t work on them and vice-versa. But we all go into the dressing room feeling confident. It’s about appreciating what you were born with and putting your own sparkle on it.”

What does Shay wish she know when she was 17? “Growing up, I wish I hadn’t tried so hard to fit in. I’d tell myself to just embrace what you were born with because it’s beautiful and you were made like that for a reason. It’s tough being a girl. I think we need all of the support we can get.”
