With an astonishing two million sold worldwide, the track cements its status as not only the “Song of the Summer,” but also 2015’s biggest breakout anthem. Silento’ was presented with a plaque commemorating these sales milestones at Los Angeles’ famed Troubadour as part of Capitol Records’ Third Annual Capitol Congress, which brings many of the label’s artists to the city for presentations of their forthcoming projects for the industry and media.
In addition, its official music video lensed by Marc Klasfeld (Katy Perry, JAY Z, Justin Timberlake) has 100 million YouTube/VEVO views since its release only a month ago. It now holds the distinction of becoming the “the fastest debut music video to become VEVO Certified.”
Silentó fever continues to spread globally. “Watch Me” has reached #1 on iTunes in 15 countries and top 5 in a further 37 territories around the world. The single has received massive international support – the song is currently #1 on the real-time UK Shazam Charts and Top 10 iTunes UK. “Watch Me” has already surpassed over 40 million international audio & visual streams and reached gold in Canada and Australia.
In addition, Silento just received a Teen Choice Award nomination for “Choice R&B/Hip-Hop Song” and he’s given show-stopping performances on Good Morning America, LIVE with Kelly & Michael, and the BET Awards.
