‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Top 18 Live Show Recap – July 16, 2014

_W5A4709_hires1So You Think You Can Dancehas returned for its third week of live shows tonight (July 16th) at CBS Studios in Los Angeles, Calif.

The Top 18 Tanisha Belnap, Carly Blaney, Jourdan Epstein, Brooklyn Fullmer, Emily James, Jacque Lewarne, Malene Ostergaard, Jessica Richens, Valerie Rockey, Bridget Whitman,Rudy Abreu, Casey Askew, Teddy Coffey, Emilio Dosal, Zack Everhart, Stanley Glover, Marcquet Hill, Serge Onik,andRicky Ubeda opened the show with a group routine toHow Its Done choreographed by Christopher Pharside Jennings.

After the group number, the Top 18 were paired together to perform various broadway, hip-hop, Viennese waltz, contemporary, jive, and jazz sequences in front of judgesMary Murphy, Nigel Lythgoe,and special guest judgeMisty Copeland.

After the performances, A Great Big Worldperformed their hit single “Say Something” for America, the judges, and contestants.

At the end of the show, it was announced thatStanley GloverandJourdan Epstein‘stime onSo You Think You Can Dancehad come to a close.On next weeks live show, two people will be eliminated from the competition.Misty Copelandreturns as a guest judge and Lucy Hale will take the stage to perform her new single “Lie A Little Better.”
