‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Top 8 Performance Night Recap – August 13, 2014 (@DanceOnFOX #SYTYCD)

_MG_4664So You Think You Can Dance has returned for its seventh week of live shows tonight (August 13th) at CBS Studios in Los Angeles, Calif.

The Top 8 – Tanisha Belnap, Jacque Lewarne, Jessica Richens, Valerie Rockey, Rudy Abreu, Zack Everhart, Ricky Ubeda, and Casey Askew – opened the Michael Jackson-themed show with a group performance to “A Place With No Name” choreographed by Travis Payne. After the group performance, the Top 8 were paired together with So You Think You Can Dance all-stars to perform various contemporary, samba, jazz, hip-hop, and broadway sequences in front of judges Mary Murphy, Nigel Lythgoe, and special guest judge Jenna Dewan Tatum.

Guest dancers on the show included Jamie Goodwin, Ryan Di Lello, Nick Lazzarini, Comfort Fedoke, Allison Holker, Makenzie Dustman, tWitch Boss, and Will Wingfield.

After the performances, hip-hop group Control Freakz performed a special piece for America, the judges, and contestants.

At the end of the show, host Cat Deeley announced that Tanisha Belnap and Rudy Abreu’s run on the show has come to a close.
