We are so excited for a brand-new episode of Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything tonight!

With only a few more hours until we see what Conor, Ashley, Wendell and Franklin are up to next, CelebSecrets4U is giving you the inside scoop on the new DisneyXD series straight from the only girl on set, Sophie Reynolds.

If you’re not familiar with the show already, Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything takes the subcultures of high school and video games and merges them into a live-action comedy series about a 15-year-old professional video-game-playing phenomenon named Conor (Cameron Boyce), also known as “KidFury,” whose thumb injury forces him out of a high-flying gamer career. After years of private tutoring while on the international competitive circuit, he now enrolls in public high school for the first time and forms a gaming league with new classmates and fellow gamers – Franklin (Felix Avitia), Wendell (Murray Wyatt Rundus) and Ashley (Sophie Reynolds).

In tonight’s episode called “The Rival’s Arrival,” Wendell (Rundus) introduces his new gamer girlfriend and everyone loves her – except Conor (Boyce), who claims she was his archenemy on the solo gaming tour – which forces a rift in the team.

CelebSecrets4U recently caught up with Sophie Reynolds, who plays Ashley on Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything. Ashley is a quirky and fun-loving student who has a secret passion for gaming. In our interview, Sophie talks about the show and how she relates to Ashley and what its like being the only girl on set. Sophie also reveals her passion for dancing (hopefully we’ll see some on the show!), her favorite Disney Channel shows growing up, and what YOU should take away from watching the show — Make sure to check out the full Q&A below!

Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything airs on Wednesdays at 9:30PM ET/PT on DisneyXD.

CS4U: So you’re on Disney XD’s new show Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything. Can you tell us a little bit about the series?

Sophie Reynolds: “Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything follows a professional teen gamer named Conor, played by Cameron Boyce, who has grown up in the gaming world. Things change when he breaks his thumb and he has to go out of that and attend normal high school where he meets his friends Ashley, who I play, Franklin (Felix Avitia) and Wendell (Murray Wyatt Rundus). We form a professional gaming team and the series pretty much follows that.”

CS4U: Can you tell us about your character Ashley?

Sophie Reynolds: “Ashley is a really sweet fun girl. She doesn’t always know what’s going on and is a little bit confused, but she’s is a really loyal friend and that’s what I love about her. She’s a strong independent girl.”

CS4U: I read that you are the only girl in a cast full of boys! What is it like being the only girl on set?

Sophie Reynolds: “Being the only girls is… interesting! I have so much fun with the boys and its so great. I love every second of it. I actually like being the only girl. It’s been a really good experience.”

CS4U: Did you feel the least bit intimidated going into the show knowing that you’d be the only girl?

Sophie Reynolds: “You know what, I didn’t feel intimidated at all! I have a brother, so I’ve always been surrounded by a group of boys growing up.”

CS4U: You initially started your career as a dancer. Will we get to see any of your dance moves on Gamer’s Guide?

Sophie Reynolds: “Yes! You will get to see some dancing on the show 🙂 It’s pretty fun, so stay tuned for it!”

CS4U: What would you want our readers to take away from Gamer’s Guide when they watch it on DisneyXD?

Sophie Reynolds: “I want readers and viewers to know that you can do anything with friendship and teamwork. In the beginning of the show, Conor thinks he can do everything on his own. When he meets us, he realizes that everything is a little bit better when you work together. When you have friends who are loyal, you can figure anything out.”

CS4U: Would you consider yourself a gamer like your character?

Sophie Reynolds: “I’ve played a little bit of video games in my day, but I wouldn’t consider myself a gamer. I’m working on it though. I do like to play a little bit of video games here and there and I really enjoy it!”

CS4U: What were some of your favorite Disney Channel shows while growing up?

Sophie Reynolds: “I loved Hannah Montana, That’s So Raven, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Wizards of Waverly Place. Those were my favorites.”

CS4U: What is your advice to young aspiring actors on balancing a career and school?

Sophie Reynolds: “I would say balancing the work and school can be really difficult, but always remember that school is extremely important. I have time set aside for my school work and time for filming each day. It’s very difficult to balance it and it can be very exhausting, but you can do it if you’re organized and work hard.”

CS4U: Our website is called CelebSecrets4U. Do you have an on-set secret that you can share with our readers?

Sophie Reynolds: “We love to play basketball! We play almost every day at lunch. That would be my set secret :)”
