Sport Disciplines and Music Lineup Announced for X Games Minneapolis 2017

The first details for X Games Minneapolis 2017 are finally here!

ESPN and X Games have announced the sport disciplines and music lineup for their summer X Games event.

The world’s premier action sports competition debuts July 13-16 for its first year at the new U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis. The event will feature an all-encompassing youth culture experience, including more than 200 of the world’s best action sports athletes competing for medals and prize money in BMX, Skateboard and Moto X disciplines.

In addition to the sports, the X Games interactive youth cultural festival, X Fest, and world-class musical performances from A Day To Remember on Friday, July 14, Flume on Saturday, July 15 and Minneapolis’ own Atmosphere will also be part of the event. All three musical performances will take place at the Commons stage, located outside U.S. Bank Stadium.

Tickets will start at $20 for general admission. Multi-day admission and several levels of hospitality and suites are also available for purchase. For the first time in the X Games’ history, limited floor access will be made available, offering guests an opportunity to get as close to the action as the athletes without actually competing. Tickets are available now at www.xgames.com/tickets.

On Thursday, July 13, X Games Minneapolis will kick off with its first two medaled competitions: BMX Vert and Skateboard Vert, beginning at 5 p.m. CT. All guests are welcome to the U.S. Bank Stadium Plaza free of charge to see the world’s best BMX riders and skateboarders compete for medals and cash prizes. Harley-Davidson Flat-Track Racing will also take place on Thursday, July 13 with more details forthcoming.

Medalists from X Games Austin 2016 who have sport disciplines returning in 2017 will receive an early invite to compete in the X Games Minneapolis 2017 event.
