CRASHLETES

Celeb Secrets: Your show Crashletes is returning to Nickelodeon this Friday! For people that haven’t watched yet, what can you tell us about the show?

Stevie Nelson: “For those of you who haven’t watched it, it’s a sports clip show of the best of the worst fails hosted by Gronk, Brandon and myself. It’s like sitting in the living room with your best friends watching a bunch of sports fails.”

Celeb Secrets: How does season 1 differ from season 2?

Stevie Nelson: “Season 2 is a lot more of the same thing, but with funnier clips, more interactive segments with the co-hosts and a ton of special guests.”

Celeb Secrets: You have some pretty notable sports stars making appearances on the show this season — what was it like having them on set?

Stevie Nelson: “That’s very true, we had some very cool sports stars on the show this season, but you would never know they were super famous by how they acted. All of them were so humble and fun to have on set. It’s so weird to think that my job has become hanging out with these mega-athletes and laughing with them. It’s pretty surreal.”

Celeb Secrets: The show brings the most epic sports fails to television. What’s been the craziest epic fail you’ve seen while filming the show?

Stevie Nelson: “It’s really hard to remember specific fails because we watch hundreds every season, but my favorite segment was the “Crashlete’s Country Club.” You’ll know it when you see it this season.”

Celeb Secrets: Have you ever been caught in an “epic fail” situation? If so, what was it like?

Stevie Nelson: “Ughhh, yes. I’ve definitely been caught in an epic fail. When I was in college, I was walking in the cross-walk and a cyclist clipped me and I went flying into a PARKED car. It was more embarrassing than anything, but I wish someone had caught it on tape.”

Celeb Secrets: Why do you think we should tune in this Friday to the new season?

Stevie Nelson: “It’s honestly the perfect show to watch with the family on a Friday night at 7pm. If you like sports, you should watch. If you like laughing, you should watch. If you like animals, you should watch. You get it, everyone should watch.”

Celeb Secrets: Since we are Celeb Secrets, do you have any BTS secrets from filming on set that you can share with our readers?

Stevie Nelson: “Behind the scenes is mostly Brandon, Gronk and myself asking each other which one of us studied the clips. It kind of feels like cramming before a big test. We also eat lots of snacks. These are the darkest secrets, but they are the only ones we have.”

Celeb Secrets: Your show Crashletes is returning to Nickelodeon this Friday! For people that haven’t watched yet, what can you tell us about the show?

Brandon Broady: “Crashletes is an awesome viral clip show with a sports angle. We find clips from all over the web, and present them in creative ways. “Tree-Jected” was one of my favorite categories from season one that featured people getting hurt by trees.”

Celeb Secrets: How does season 1 differ from season 2?

Brandon Broady: “With season two, we found out what worked really well from season one and took those things a step further. There’s more rapping, dancing, and jumping into different characters for the sake of selling the funny.”

Celeb Secrets: You have some pretty notable sports stars making appearances on the show this season — what was it like having them on set?

Brandon Broady: “Having different sports stars on the show was very fun because we got to see another side of their personalities. I really enjoyed making them break character and cracking jokes between takes. Andre Drummond was probably the goofiest.”

Celeb Secrets: The show brings the most epic sports fails to television. What’s been the craziest epic fail you’ve seen while filming the show?

Brandon Broady: “It’s hard to remember exactly what sports fail was the craziest because I’ve seen thousands of clips over the course of two seasons, however some of my favorite categories in season two were “we’ve got spirits” and “bird watching”.”

Celeb Secrets: Have you ever been caught in an “epic fail” situation? If so, what was it like?

Brandon Broady: “I have definitely been caught in some epic fail situations. One time I was at church with my friends on Ash Wednesday and usually we don’t go to church together but this time we went and we are all making each other laugh and at some point I laughed so hard I ended up peeing on myself a little bit, because it’s really hard to keep your composure when you have to be quiet.”

Celeb Secrets: Why do you think we should tune in this Friday to the new season?

Brandon Broady: “I think everyone should tune into this season of the show because it has grown so much since season one the set is bigger, the jokes take more risks, and our chemistry is even stronger which really shows. We were friends on season one and now we’re like family.”

Celeb Secrets: Since we are Celeb Secrets, do you have any BTS secrets from filming on set that you can share with our readers?

Brandon Broady: “One secret I can share is that there are some days where we shoot three episodes in one day and it’s hard to tell on set because we have so much energy, but between breaks we are super tired and all need a little bit of coffee to pep ourselves up.”
