Taylor reveals,in her new interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the name of some of the songs on her new album and some of the inspiration behind them.
Swift explained that there really is no diss songs about her exes in this album. “”In this period of my life, my heart was not irreparably broken. So it’s not as boy-centric of an album, because my life hasn’t been boycentric.” Swifty reveals that she has not dated anyone since Harry Styles. Instead she has focused on her friendships with people like Karlie Kloss and Lorde.
Taylor did reveal that most of the songs written about a guy were about her former fling with Styles. There’s “I Wish You Would” about an ex who bought a home a few blocks away from taylor, whom she implies was Harry. There is also “All You Had to do Was Stay” about someone who cannot commit. She also has a song named “Style” which is pretty straight forward just by the title, about a guy with slicked-back hair and a white T-shirt and a girl in a tight little skirt.
The most interesting song rumored to be about Styles is “Out of the Woods.” The song was inspired by a snowmobile incident where both Swift and the ex ended up in the ER after the ex lost control of the snowmobile and wrecked it. The most interesting part was the lyrics “Remember when you hit the brakes too soon/Twenty stitches in a hospital room.” Swift also revealed about that relationship that”every day was a struggle. Forget making plans for life – we were just trying to make it to next week.”
The angriest song on the album is called “Bad Blood.” This song is about another female artist that Taylor has had conflict with in the past few years. She does not reveal who the song is initially about because she does not want to start any problems, but she wants her fans to be able to connect to it.
Taylor’s new album comes out October 27th with 13 tracks and a few bonus tracks including some voice memos from Taylor’s phone.
