On Monday (June 21), Chloe Bailey performed her cover of “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone on Good Morning America.

The singer, best known from the musical duo Chloe x Halle, performed the song solo for the second time. In the video, she is dressed from head to toe in a red and pink sequined outfit. She belts the song as a hue of red and purple animates on a screen behind her.

Bailey first debuted the single on ABC’s Juneteeth special titled, Juneteenth: Together We Triumph – A Soul of a Nation Special Event. You can watch that performance here.

The performance was inspired by her spirit and her confidence and her honesty. I worked incredibly hard to put it all together. I still have scrapes and bruises from all the rehearsals!”

Feeling Good” can be found on the newly released EP, Liberated / Music for the Movement Vol. 3. Other artists featured on this EP include Cordae, Common, Lucky Daye, and Kamasi Washington. Yara Shahidi also has a spoken word track.
