The Huntsman Gets Sequel Without Snow White

It has been quite a few weeks for the cast of Snow White And The Huntsman. Originally the film was being made into a sequel with both Chris Hemsworth and Kristen Stewart reprising their roles. After news broke of Kristen Stewart’s affair with her Snow White & The Hunstman director Rupert Sanders, talk of a sequel seemed unlikely and inappropriate. However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal has decided they will not be making a sequel to the movie. It’s not all bad news, the studio has decided to take a different approach by instead making a spin-off film focusing on the Hunstman played by Chris Hemsworth. It is very clear that Kristen will not be attached to the project at all, and there have been no reports indicating Rupert’s attachment to the project.  A Universal Studio’s spokes person said that, “The studio is currently exploring options to continue the franchise.”

We must say congratulations to Chris on this new project and know he will be extremely busy in the coming year filming Rush, the Thor Sequel, prepping for the Avengers Sequel, as well as prepping for this new project. Don’t forget you can catch Chris this Thanksgiving in Red Dawn which hits theaters Wednesday November 21st, 2012.
