CMA Vocal Duo of the Year nominees The Swon Brothers – Zach and Colton – are releasing their self-titled Arista Nashville debut album today, and yesterday the duo appeared on NBC’s Today show, where they delivered the television premiere of their second single, “Pray for You,” the follow-up to their Top 15 debut hit, “Later On.”
Penned by Jessi Alexander, Tommy Lee James, and Eric Paslay, the new single will ship to country radio on October 20 for an official airplay impact date of November 3.
About “Pray for You,” Colton Swon remarked, “This is a song that when we first heard it, we knew we had to be a part of it, and we knew we had to cut it. It’s so positive, and it just says something different, especially in a world where bad news seems to be the only news you hear.”
“‘Pray for You’ is a song that we wanted to be powerful,” says Zach Swon. “It’s more of an anthem than a ballad. We always talk about it in shows as a song of hope. Sometimes you just need something else when everything else isn’t working, no matter what you believe.”
Produced by The Swon Brothers and Mark Bright (Carrie Underwood, Sara Evans) – and featuring both “Later On” and “Pray for You” – the Swons’ album is available here: http://smarturl.it/theswonbrothers.
