‘The Voice’ Heats Up During Second Night of Blind Auditions – Our Favorite Moments

The Voice is back for a second night of blind auditions! Not only are fans treated to a “Shefani”–aka Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani–PDA-filled reunion, but it’s safe to say that the contestants aren’t holding back either.

Night two has allowed the judges to be more practical, critical, and wise about who they should turn for to round out their teams. Based off of the selections from last nights show, Alicia Keys team–which faired well last season–may be the one to beat.

Autumn Turner, a ice skating coach, headlined the night’s auditions with her performance of “Last Dance” by Donna Summer. Seeing that all four judges made an effort to turn for her, this vocalist may be the contestant to look out for. Ultimately, she was motivated to join Team Alicia. The East Coast connection  definitely benefited Keys, but her ability to recognize Turner’s potential most likely won her over.

Keys also claimed Lilli Passero–another strong vocalist who nabbed a nearly four chair turn–after sining her a specialized ballad to win her over.

Blues performer Jesse Larson joined Team Adam, which will help with the Maroon 5 singer’s search for a wide range of artistry. The Minnesota native took to the stage to give viewers a taste of his rendition of “Jealous Guy” by John Lennon. If Larson can impress Prince (which is not even slightly “fake news”), then getting at least one judge to turn for him would be a cakewalk. Adam Levine boldly turned for him because “there is no one with ears who shouldn’t of turned around for that.”

Shefani made sure to nab some good vocalists as well that night.

After the lovebirds went to battle over 16-year-old Savannah Leighton, Stefani came out on top with the winning line: “Why would you go with a grown man, right? I just don’t understand when you can hang out with me.” Now, that’s not to say that Shelton didn’t have his fair share in claiming top contenders.

Aliyah Moulden, another young vocalist the couple fought over alongside Keys, joined Team Blake after showing off her strong voice with her rendition of  “Hound Dog” by Big Mama Thornton.

Based off of the auditions that surfaced last night and from night one as well, the young vocalists may give the more veteran musicians a run for their money.

Season 12 of The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8PM EST on NBC. Come check back next week to see which auditions were our favorite!
