Six pairs battled it out tonight on the latest episode of The Voice (March 15).

Things got pretty intense as the pairs prepped for their awaited battles. Before the battles got started, we were able to see Patti Labelle and Christina Aguilera perform “Lady Marmalade” while prepping Shalyah Fearing and Tamar Davis for their cover of the same song. Their version was killer and totally took me to outer space. The quartet totally amped the girls for their battle.

Taking the crown for my favorite battle of the night was Hannah Huston vs. Maya Smith and their cover of “Elastic Heart” by Sia. The harmonies were flawless and both girls were complete powerhouses. Both girls are on Team Pharrell and you could tell he was ecstatic with their performances because he stood as they finished.

Knowing he had a tough decision, the coaches tried giving him advice. All of the coaches appeared interested no matter what girl Pharrell chose to keep on his team. He chose to keep Hannah, leaving Maya available to steal.

Christina hit her button and like we’d expect anything less, Blake hit his button mere seconds later. Aguilera was fuming because Shelton has been notorious for last minute button pushing this season especially behind her. The two coaches went head to head but Maya chose Christina which I believe musically was the best decision for her.

Another killer performance though was Shalyah Fearing and Tamar Davis they performed their coach’s assistant, Patti LaBelle’s classic “Lady Marmalade.” The two were more brought a lot of fierceness to The Voice’s stage full of high-energy and some pretty cute choreographed dance moves. This decision was going to be tough for Christina.

The coaches panel had a lot to say about the girls Pharrell called Shalyah “something else”. Adam said she can’t go wrong with her decision. Christina ended up choosing Tamar because she felt she deserved it at this point in time. Fearing though didn’t walk away empty handed though, she ended up being stolen by Pharrell.

ICYMI, here are tonight’s battle results:

WINNERS: Mary Sarah (Team Blake), Tamar Davis (Team Christina), Kata Hay (Team Christina), Nick Hagelin (Team Pharrell), Hannah Huston (Team Pharrell), Nate Butler (Team Adam)

STOLEN: Shalyah Fearing (from Team Christina to Team Pharrell), Maya Smith (from Team Pharrell to Team Christina)

ELIMINATED: Justin Whisnant (Team Blake), Chelsea Gann (Team Christina), Jessica Crosbie (Team Pharrell), Natalie Yacovazzi (Team Adam)

Tune in next week to see if your favorite makes it through! The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays @ 8PM ET/PT on NBC.
