This summer THOMAS RHETT shines on the cover of two music industry magazines – Pollstar and MusicRow – both on stands now. The features showcase the diverse aspects of the Georgia native’s career, delving into his professional success, personal background and where the two come together.
The Pollstar cover takes a peek at Thomas Rhett’s live show, capturing an energetic moment during his debut at LP Field during CMA Music Fest earlier this month. With two consecutive #1 hits from his debut album – “It Goes Like This” and “Get Me Some Of That” – Thomas Rhett’s star is rapidly on the rise with a growing fanbase and opening slots for superstars. Having already toured with Jason Aldean, Toby Keith, Brantley Gilbert and Jake Owen, Thomas Rhett will head out with Miranda Lambert’s PLATINUM TOUR this fall.
His hit songwriter father Rhett Akins joins Thomas Rhett for MusicRow’s June/July cover story to talk about their family ties in Country music and shared lessons in success. A gifted songwriter in his own right, Thomas Rhett penned Florida Georgia Line’s two-week #1 “Round Here” and Jason Aldean cuts, including the Top 15 “1994” as well as Lee Brice’s Top 10 “Parking Lot Party.” Last year, Thomas Rhett and Rhett had written, co-written or recorded five of the Top 10 songs on the Country radio charts, a feat that had never before been accomplished.
Thomas Rhett is currently featured on Brantley Gilbert’s Top-20-and-rising smash “Small Town Throwdown.” The collaboration also features fellow labelmate Justin Moore.
