Congrats are in order for Mark McMorris this evening!
The 23-year-old professional snowboarder added another medal to his collection Friday night (January 27) in the America’s Navy Snowboard Big Air competition at X Games Aspen 2017 — making this his fifth Big Air, first bronze, and 12th medal at X Games.
McMorris‘ run included a perfectly landed backside triple cork 1620. He also attempted a quad in run of his runs, and unfortunately he did not land on his feet after. However, this did not stop him from winning a medal, as he secured the bronze medal position with a score of 73.00.
