Where is Our Passion? How to Find a Cause Worth Fighting For + Advice from the Fighters of Cancer

Step 1: Find your Passion.

“[Farrah] had a lot of good people involved, really good people and she was really a break-through. It’s unfortunate and it’s taken many of our friends… But I think Cancer is on the run. Anytime I can help, I’m in.” – George Hamilton

Farrah Fawcett established the FFF 2007 shortly after her own cancer diagnosis. Since 2015, Tex-Mex Fiesta has raised close to $1 million to date, with proceeds benefitting Stand Up To Cancer(SU2C), supporting cutting-edge research. Stand Up to Cancer (SU2C) partnered with FFF in valiant hopes to find a cure.

“When she was alive, we didn’t have amino therapy, didn’t have molecular based therapy Farrah was so upset that there were no novel therapies and she started this foundation. We’ve been able to partner with Stand Up to Cancer and now we have vaccine trials.” – Doctor Lawrence Poir, Event Co-Chair and FFF Chief Medical Advisor.

Rising country star Stephanie Quayle performed at the Tex-Mex Fiesta. When asked about her personal connection to cancer. She told Celeb Secrets, I have a dear friend in remission that actually had the same cancer that Farrah had… It’s very important to me. I mean, the research is everything and then finding a cure…Events like this are imperative and super important, so I’m glad to lend my voice.”
