The 2014 Kid’s Choice Awards were filled with slime and a lot of Nickelodeon stars, but one of them was missing. One of the star of Sam and Cat, who did win Favorite Tv Show, Jennette McCurdy.
There were many rumors stirring about how Jennette wasn’t of attendance because of her recent sexy selfie scandal incident. Sam and Cat won Favorite Tv Show and Dan Schneider won a Lifetime achivement award, you would expect McCurdy to be there. So why wan’t the star present?
Jennette McCurdy decided to answer this question on twitter with so many people asking, she said:
“A lot of you guys are asking why I didn’t attend the KCAs…. I wish I could explain everything as thoroughly as I would like to, but unfortunately a simpler explanation is all I can write. I was put in an uncomfortable, compromising, unfair situation (many of you have guessed what it is) and I had to look out for me. I chose to not go because sticking up for what is right and what is fair is what my mom taught me is ALWAYS the most important thing. I want to thank those of you who have reached out with kind words of support, McCurdians and Arianators alike. No matter who or what you support, I believe in supporting fairness first. If you have done that, thank you.”
Jennette went on to clarify on twitter that this tweet has nothing to do with her leaked photos:
“My previous tweet has nothing to do with pics leaked.oh you guys lol It has to do with how nickelodeon treated me. That’s all. Thanks for the love. <3”
Earlier this week, she also tweeted:
“Stand up for what you believe in. Stand up for who you are. Don’t let small people make you believe you’re small.”
Has it have anything to do with Ariana Grande, rumor has it she unfollowed her fellow costar on twitter, but Ariana Grande gave her a shoutout at the KCA’s. Whatever the reason is we hope you’re doing okay Jennette, we totally support you and missed you at the KCA’s!
