Wiz Khalifa’a Rolling Papers 2011 Summer Tour is Coming to a City Near You!

Rostrum/Atlantic recording artist Wiz Khalifa has unveiled details of his upcoming headlining tour dubbed the “Rolling Papers Tour.” The tour – appropriately named after his debut album, “ROLLING PAPERS,” – will kick off on June 11th at the Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, TN and will continue through the summer, wrapping at the Phoenix Amphitheater in Pontiac, MI on August 5th (see attached tour itinerary). Adding to all of this excitement, Wiz’ second official single, “Roll Up,” has recently been RIAA-Certified gold, with digital sales exceeding 500,000 units.

This 40-city tour features special guests Big Sean, Chevy Woods and DJ Bonics, and will see the Pittsburgh native making notable stops including the July 24th “Extra Wide” show in Columbia, MD alongside Mac Miller, Big Sean, Curren$y, Big KRIT and Chevy Woods, as well as New York’s famed Central Park Summer Stage on July 25th. This new set of dates comes on the heels of the widely successful, sold-out “Campus Consciousness Green Carpet Tour,” which brought Khalifa to 30 college campuses with over 120,000 tickets sold. In addition to all this, Khalifa is currently on his first European tour which will see him taking the stage in London, Paris and Berlin, to name a few. What’s more, Khalifa recently received a nomination in the “Best New Artist” category at this year’s BET Awards, which airs June 26th (check local listings).

Wiz Khalifa’s debut album, “ROLLING PAPERS,” was one of music’s most anticipated albums this year, and debuted atop both Billboard’s “Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums” and “Top Rap Albums” charts, and is highlighted by the 3x-platinum single, “Black And Yellow.” The MC ushered in the release of his major label debut with a string of major-publication cover stories including The SourceVIBEFaderRolling StoneDub and Complex, as well as several highly publicized television appearances, including Jimmy Kimmel Live! The Late Show With David LettermanLopez Tonight and The Mo’Nique Show.
