X Games Announces New Disciplines & Music Lineup for X Games Aspen 2018

Some of the first details about X Games Aspen 2018  have been revealed and the anticipation for the best show on snow is building here at Celeb Secrets!

Earlier this morning, X Games revealed the seventeen disciplines in Ski, Snowboard, Snow Bike and Snowmobile and the four musical acts that will be at the base of Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen, Colorado next January. ESPN also shared this morning that all medalists from X Games Aspen 2017 who have sport disciplines returning in 2018 received an early invite to compete at X Games Aspen, with the first full round of invited athletes coming on November 1.

The disciplines will have all the fan favorites this year, including Ski and Snowboard Big Air, SuperPipe, and Slopestyle for both men and women, the Special Olympics Unified race, Snowmobile Freestyle, and — for the first time since 2015 — Snowmobile Speed & Style.

Building on the popularity of the Snow BikeCross racing debut in 2017X Games Aspen 2018 will now showcase the excitement of freestyle motocross to Buttermilk Mountain with the introduction of Snow Bike Best Trick.  Athletes will compete in this freestyle discipline on modified dirt bikes which replaces the front wheel with a front ski and snowmobile track in place of the rear wheel.

For the music side, X Games has confirmed LCD Soundsystem, Marshmello, Martin Garrix and Method Man & Redman to perform on the GEICO Stage.

X Games Aspen 2018 starts on Thursday, January 25, 2018 and runs through Sunday, January 28, 2018. Keep checking back to Celeb Secrets and XGames.com for the latest updates!
