2018 is already proving to be an unstoppable year for the multi-instrumentalist that we know and love as Youngr.
Having recently released a string of tracks including ‘Drive’, ‘Remember’ (the Michael McDonald / Warren G re-work), and ‘Ooh Lordy’, his latest offering ‘Lost In Translation’, continues to prove and further his creativity whilst creating a consistent and familiar sound that has garnered fans globally.
Today, Youngr unveils the official visual for the track, which is introduced as a vivid colour-splash performance video and transcends into full on social experiment. Unassuming members of the public are asked to take part and become the subjects of the visual with the concept of them trying to communicate without words. The results are a sight to be seen.
On the video Youngr says, “You know when you hear a song and then watch the video and that video captures exactly what you were feeling about the song. I wanted to create that feeling with this video”.
‘Lost in Translation’ is pop-funk perfection that is set to soundtrack late night summer nights throughout the season. With an infectious funk-lined riff, the track builds progressively into a crescendo of the breezy and uplifting chorus where Youngr has proven once again his ability to combine multiple genres and sounds, whilst still maintaining his signature aesthetic.
On ‘Lost in Translation’, Youngr explains: “This song says a lot about me and the world I am living in. Being fortunate enough to take my live show around the world and meet all these amazing people, it puts real perspective on life. I feel like this song was being written in my head over the past 3 years with every new experience and person I came across”.
