Netflix Announces New ‘Victorious’ Spin-off “Hollywood Arts” Starring Daniella Monet

It’s time to grab your pear phones and warm up those vocal cords, because we’re officially going back to Hollywood Arts.

Netflix just announced Hollywood Arts, a brand-new spinoff of the beloved Nickelodeon series Victorious — and yes, Daniella Monet is reprising her iconic role as the ever-dramatic Trina Vega! The 26-episode live-action series is set to begin production this October in Vancouver, with a 2026 debut on Netflix before it heads to Nickelodeon and Paramount+.

In a full-circle twist worthy of a Hollywood script, Hollywood Arts follows Trina as she returns to her alma mater — not as a student, but as an unqualified substitute teacher that has both Robbie AND Rex gasping. Despite her lack of credentials, Trina quickly finds herself clashing with and ultimately inspiring a whole new generation of ambitious young performers at the elite performing arts high school.

“I feel very lucky and grateful to come back as Trina alongside such a dynamic, powerful cast of newcomers,” Monet shared in a statement. “Victorious was life changing for all of us… to think that I have an opportunity to steward anything close to that is a feeling I can’t begin to describe.”

The new cast includes Alyssa Miles (Hanging Out with Alyssa and Xavier), Emmy Liu-Wang (Raven’s Home), Peyton Jackson (Young Dylan), Erika Swayze (School Spirits), and Martin Kamm (Unsung Hero), with a special guest appearance by Community’s Yvette Nicole Brown; who you may remember from Drake & Josh.

Behind the scenes, the series boasts a powerhouse creative team with Victorious alums Jake Farrow and Samantha Martin serving as showrunners, writers, and executive producers alongside Jonathan Judge (The Really Loud House). Monet will also take on double duty as both star and executive producer, proving once again that Trina Vega was never not main character material.

For fans who grew up with Victorious, the announcement feels like the ultimate encore. The original Nickelodeon hit, which ran from 2010–2013, was a cultural phenomenon, catapulting stars like Victoria Justice, Ariana Grande, and Elizabeth Gillies into superstardom. It consistently topped ratings among kids, tweens, and teens, and even today, it’s thriving on Netflix, amassing over 45 million views in the U.S. this year alone.

With Netflix now home to both the OG series and its upcoming spinoff, Hollywood Arts joins a lineup of tween-and-teen faves like Geek Girl, My Life With the Walter Boys, XO, Kitty, and A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. If history repeats itself, this revival could very well become the next big global obsession.

So whether you were team Tori, Jade, or (unapologetically) Trina, it’s time to roll out the red carpet once again for Hollywood Arts. Because one thing’s for sure: this school still knows how to make it shine.
