Darkson may have only started creating content a year and a half ago, but the Senegal-born creator is already proving that finding your own lane can pay off.
Blending his interests in fashion, modeling, basketball and a distinctly dark, vampire-inspired aesthetic, Darkson, whose real name is Babacar, has developed a visual identity that immediately sets him apart online. What initially started as creating videos simply for fun quickly turned into something much bigger when one of his posts racked up an impressive 2 million views in just one day.
Social media is only one piece of the puzzle for the rising multi-hyphenate. Darkson is also pursuing his passions for modeling and basketball, and he hopes to increasingly bring all three worlds together as his platform grows. From sports-inspired fashion and behind-the-scenes training content to bigger collaborations and creative visual concepts, he says fans can expect to see plenty more from him in the months ahead.
At the center of it all is a message Darkson hopes his journey can send to others: be confident in what makes you different and don’t let where you come from limit where you can go.
Celeb Secrets caught up with Darkson to talk about his unexpected rise on social media, the moment he realized he was going viral, balancing basketball with content creation, his plans for the future and the secret talents his followers may not know about.

Celeb Secrets: Tell us a little about yourself for our readers who may not be familiar with you?
Darkson: “My name is Babacar, but most people know me as Darkson. I’m originally from Senegal, and I’m a content creator, model, and basketball player. I love expressing myself through fashion, vampires style, and creative videos. My goal is to inspire people to be confident, stay true to themselves, and chase their dreams no matter where they come from.”
CS: When did you first get into content creation and how would you describe your content?
D: “I started creating content about a year and a half ago just for fun, without expecting anything big to happen. Over time, I found my own style, and that’s when things really took off. My content has a dark, creative, and fashion-driven aesthetic. I always try to make videos that feel different and leave people wanting to watch again.”
CS: Were you ever expecting your videos to go as viral as they did? What was your reaction when you first went viral?
D: “Honestly, I wasn’t expecting it at all. When I saw the numbers, I thought it was a mistake at first. I woke up the next day and saw my video had hit 2 million views in one day. It was an incredible feeling because it showed me that people connected with what I was creating. That moment gave me the confidence to keep pushing and take content creation more seriously.”

CS: How did your friends react to you going viral? Were they supportive?
D: “Most of my friends were really excited and supportive. They were proud to see someone they knew achieving something special. Of course, whenever you become successful, not everyone reacts the same way, but I’ve always focused on the people who genuinely support me and want to see me win. My cousins especially always motivate me to keep posting and stay consistent.”
CS: How do you balance content creation and basketball? Do you see a world where you incorporate the two more?
D: “Balancing both takes discipline. Basketball is a huge part of who I am, and content creation is another passion of mine. I plan my schedule carefully so I can improve in both. I definitely see myself combining them more in the future through behind-the-scenes training, lifestyle content, and fashion inspired by sports.”
CS: What can your fans expect from you over the next few months?
D: “They can expect bigger and better content, more modeling, exciting collaborations, and a lot of creativity. I’m always looking for ways to evolve and surprise my audience while staying true to my style. I’m also continuing to work toward my basketball goals, so there’s a lot to look forward to.”
CS: Lastly, since we are Celeb Secrets, can you share a secret talent of yours?
D: “A lot of people don’t know that I’m naturally creative when it comes to styling, visual concepts, and even cosplay. I enjoy coming up with ideas for trends, video scenes, and photo shoots before the camera even starts rolling. I also speak multiple languages, which is something I’m really proud of I speak Italian, French, English, and Senegalese.”
